I hung up the receiver, catched the car, put the children in and took them to Granny, drove to the bank to get money and drove directly to Bavaria. I arrived at 8 a.m. It was raining cats and dogs. I saw it, signed the contract and payed!
„Don´t you want to try it out?“
„Yes, on the way back home.“
„??Well. Do you have a licence plate?“
„No, but you could take the papers and get me one
while I change my clothes. And then I´ll drive home.“
„Alright! But it´s not really normal, isn´t it???“

Well, thatīs the story how we got our vehicle.

Itīs a Yamaha FJ 1200 Type 3 CW:

- built in 1989
- power 130 HP
- speedlimit 180 km/h (112 mph)
- runned 64000 km (40000 miles) untill now
- connected with sidecar in 1998
- original cases
The sidecar is an EML GT 2001.
It´s a socalled twoseated sidecar with a seat size of
86 cm (9,8 inches) each and a tank volume of 240 L
It´s fitted out with a radio, cassette recorder, carped and a back rack.

In the course of time we did many trips which lead us to Gerolstein, Euskirchen, into the Ardennen and into the Elsass. After we made the decision to spend some time in New Zealand we had to alter a lot of things in a very short time.
